I’m not picky. I’ll park my bike anywhere that is convenient, but I’ll admit, a nice bicycle rack is an exciting find. A little like a new couch. People forget to sit on it at first because they’re not used to it. Then they realize how great it is, they break it in, the foam begins to mold perfectly to fit the human seat. Ahhh perfection.
All this to say – keep your eye out – the Metro Arts Commission is getting local artists to install bicycle racks downtown Spring 2010.
Because when I’m away from my bicycle, I want a trusty friend to hold it dear. Don’t you?
Maybe you really just wanted a shoe rack?
This seems like leaving your bicycle to a picnic table …

Here here Chris. It’s gonna be a good thing. I was at the new Oasis Center Charlotte this morning – they have a great bike rack right at the front door.
